Functional Items for Your Needs
It is important to capture the function of a room or space when re-decorating or styling.
This room was a guest bedroom that was converted to function more optimally. The client wanted a gym space while also keeping an area for guest to stay when needed. Below are the ways that were re-designed for function and style.
Function
The space was mapped out and taped out to identify the length of the treadmill so that the floor plan was maximized for the activities desired in the room. The chaise lounge created a multi-use space room that can be used for a workout, reading spot, or guest room.
Lighting
Mood lighting was added to create a relaxing vibe to accommodate night workouts that allows to relax after a long work day. The lighting selected was intentional in the way that it was a wireless sconce that recharges so that there is no need for wires.
Design
The herringbone wood wall was added to create a custom accent wall that reflects in the mirrors. The mirrors also make this smaller room feel larger. The darker grey wall compliments the mood of the space to create that cozy space to hang out.
